COSCAM

Contributing to feedback presentations from participating Groups

Due to their abnormal appearance, capillary malformations (CMs) often cause a reduced quality of life. Currently, there is limited evidence on the best available treatment strategies, because of an absence of uniform outcome measures in therapeutic trials. A Core Outcome Set (COS) enables standardized reporting of trial outcomes, which consequently facilitates comparison of treatment results. Hence, CM patients can hopefully be better informed about the best treatment strategy in the future.

The aim of the COSCAM project is to develop a Core Outcome Set (COS) for clinical research on CMs. In the current study we focused on the development of a Core outcome Domain Set (CDS). COSCAM will present the methods for the CDS development and the results of this phase of their project.
